Seth, Summer, Ryan e Marissa stanno tornando! The O.C., la serie teen drama chiusa nel 2007, avrà una nuova vita, ma questa volta a teatro.
Ideatori e realizzatori del progetto sono il regista Jordan Ross e la produttrice Lindsey Rosin, già autori del musical sul film Cruel Intentions. La performance sarà portata in scena solo il 30 agosto, a Los Angeles.
Purtroppo non tutti i protagonisti torneranno nel musical, per ora gli unici personaggi che hanno un volto sono quelli di Luke Ward (Drew Seeley), Sandy Cohen (Rick Cosnett) e Jarett Wieselman sarà Josh Schwartz (creatore della serie).
Sappiamo che torneranno anche Seth e Kirsten Cohen, ma non si sa ancora chi li interpreterà.
La serie, creata da Schwartz, è andata in onda sulla CW dal 2003 per quattro stagioni e ha lanciato le carriere di Adam Brody, Rachel Bilson, Mischa Barton e Ben McKenzie. Nel cast anche Peter Gallagher, Kelly Rowan e Tate Donovan.
