Are Beric and Tormund dead?
The duo was manning The Wall when the Night King attacked and brought it down with Viserion’s blue fire. We cannot answer this definitively but we’re 99 percent sure we’ll see them again. GoT would not kill two significant characters off camera without more explanation. Now, whether they survive the first scene of the final season is another question…
Is Cersei really pregnant?
There has been speculation that current queen of the Seven Kingdoms might be faking her pregnancy as some kind of elaborate ruse. She is indeed rather tricky as we’ve seen this season, but based on our interviews with the cast, the queens pregnancy is real.
Where’s Jaime Lannister going?
His exact destination is a mystery. But we know he’s headed North to fight in the Great War. And with Jon and Dany going to White Harbor (a castle south of Winterfell) to present their allegiance to the Northern lords, my guess is he’ll end up there as well. Basically: Jaime will be wherever Brienne is at.
What did The Hound mean?
When he told his brother Ser Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane: “You know whose coming for you brother… you’ve always known.” Our interpretation of this is The Hound is talking about himself and their inevitable face-off, the one they’ve been destined to have ever since Gregor held young Sandor’s face to a stove. CleganeBowl will happen.
How are Jon and Dany related?
Some are still confused on this point: Dany is Mad King Aerys Targaryen’s only surviving child. The Mad King’s son was Prince Rhaegar, who died during Robert’s Rebellion, and was finally confirmed to be Jon’s father (Jon’s mother was Ned Stark’s sister, Lyanna). So Dany and Jon are nephew and aunt. Yeah, we know.
Incest aside, how does the parentage of Jon Snow, a.k.a. Aegon Targaryen, change things?
So many ways! Dany is not the true heir to the Iron Throne. Jon Snow is an illegitimate King in the North. Jon Snow should be ruling the Seven Kingdoms. But will he?
Is Daenerys pregnant?
Dany has long assumed she can’t have a child for reasons, as Jon Snow pointed out, seem kind of silly (Mirri Maz Duur, the evil witch from season 1, told her so). There were several references to Dany and Jon having or not having offspring this season, so the show seems to be setting up a pregnancy. So Dany and Cersei would have something in common: Both queens pregnant from an incestous relationship.
Why did Tyrion look so disturbed outside Dany’s cabin?
Speculating here: A queen picking a husband is not a romantic decision, but a massive political one with major consequences (remember what happened to Robb Stark?). Tyrion probably wants to committee that decision for an optimal strategic outcome and Dany sleeping with the King in the North could complicate that.
When does Game of Thrones return?
There is no official premiere date for the final season. But the possibility the show might not return until 2019 is real. Production resumes in October on the final six episodes, which could be supersized to some extent. The second half of 2018 would likely be the earliest the final season could debut.
When do we get a prequel series?
Not until at least a year after the final season airs, as HBO programming president Casey Bloys teased earlier this year at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Four prequels are officially in development, and HBO is likely to greenlight one or possibly two. There are no details about their content, other than each show is set before the events in GoT, none include any of the current cast, and Robert’s Rebellion is not one of the ideas (because we already know so much about that).
Where’s Ghost?
Sigh. He’s off with Nymeria having adventures? Direwolves and dragons wouldn’t get along? Jon’s a neglectful pet owner? What can we tell you?
