A character who was part of the first season of 13 reasons why he could return in the second season.
Brandon Laracuente AKA Jeff Atkins from 13 Reasons Why (ya know, the guy who deserved better?) has just dropped a bombshell for season 2 and we’re screaming.
While chatting to Seventeen.com, Brandon reflected on why his character, who tragically died in a car accident (which we still aren’t over), was so loved by fans.
“I want to believe it’s because he was different from the rest,” he said, which is true. He was basically the only decent jock on the show. We’re looking @ you BRYCE.
“Everyone likes the person who sticks up for the little guy and people who don’t have a voice of their own. He was more of a leader and a person who wasn’t afraid to voice an opinion. Even though he was a jock and friends with some of the people who were, in a way, mocking and ridiculing Clay, he took a different route and I hope that’s why fans love him so much.”
Truer words have never been spoken my friend.
As for Jeff coming back for season 2, Brandon is totally on board.
“Considering, the entire first season, Jeff was shown entirely in flashbacks, that could be a possibility. I don’t see why not?! Fans would love that.”
As a fan, Brandon, we can confirm that yes we would love that.

“I would love, if we do get picked up for a second season, to have that opportunity. We’re all waiting for the news for a no or go. I know I, more than anybody, would be so excited to join everybody in the family again.”
